Under European Union consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU), consumers normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract without giving any reason.
However, for digital content not delivered on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal is lost once performance of the digital service has begun — provided you gave your prior express consent and acknowledged that you thereby waive that right (Art. 16(m) Consumer Rights Directive).
By completing a purchase and using a credit to process an image, you explicitly request immediate performance of the digital service and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal for credits already used. This acknowledgement is presented at the point of checkout.
Credits that have not yet been used are refundable within 14 days of your original purchase date. If you purchased a pack and have not used any credits, you may withdraw from the entire purchase within that window.
For a pack that was partially used (some credits consumed, some remaining), we will refund a pro-rata amount for the unused credits at the per-credit price of the pack you purchased.

Requests must be received within 14 days of the purchase date. We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and process approved refunds to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
If a credit is consumed but the background-removal operation fails due to an error on our end, the credit is automatically refunded to your key balance. If this does not occur within 24 hours, contact us at support@openimages.app and we will investigate.
